OLIM is a specialist investment management company founded in 1986. OLIM is solely focused on fund management with no conflicting business interests. The quoted investments team, consisting of Andrew Impey, Simon Jaffé and Angela Lascelles, manages UK equities and balanced portfolios. David Scott, our client specialist, helps provide expert advice especially to our charity clients. Matthew Oakeshott and Louise Cleary manage the direct property portfolios. Judith Bassnett, who heads the administration team at OLIM, ensures all clients receive the same, high quality, level of service. Judith is assisted by Lynne Leath, our client account administrator, and Carolyn Nichols, our secretary.

Louise Cleary qualified as a Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1996. She has over 15 years experience within commercial property investment. With
7 years as a retail investment manager at Hermes Real Estate managing
property portfolios for unit trusts, Royal Mail and BT pension funds. Also shopping centre development at Land Securities Plc for 3 years and portfolio management at Asda Property Holdings Plc for 5 years. More
Andrew Impey
Andrew is responsible for managing both equity and balanced portfolios at OLIM. He has over twenty years experience as a fund manager and has managed a broad range of funds. Prior to joining OLIM in 2009, Andrew was Chief Investment Officer at Singer & Friedlander Investment Management. In addition to his CIO responsibilities, Andrew managed the charity portfolios. Earlier in his career Andrew worked at Dresdner RCM, River and Mercantile Investment Management and Strauss Turnbull & Co specialising in UK small and mid cap equities. More
Simon Jaffé
Simon manages both equity and balanced portfolios at OLIM. He began his investment career as an equity analyst in 1995 before becoming a fund manager in 1998. He spent six years at F&C where he managed a range of UK and pan-European portfolios for institutional clients. Immediately before joining OLIM, Simon co-managed the £4bn UK value fund at Morley. Simon holds a BSc(Econ.) 1st class and an MSc(Econ.) both from the LSE as well as an MSc in Finance with a Distinction from the LBS. He holds the IIMR qualification and is a member of the CFA Institute. More
Angela Lascelles
Angela Lascelles co-founded OLIM in 1986. She has been professionally engaged in investment since graduating in philosophy from London University. She has worked for both the Associated British Foods and Courtaulds Pension Funds. At the latter she managed the UK and Overseas bond portfolios and a major part of the UK equity portfolio. Since the formation of OLIM she has focussed on managing equity portfolios. She is also responsible for our bond holdings. More
Matthew Oakeshott
Matthew Oakeshott co-founded OLIM in 1986. He graduated from Oxford University with a first class degree in PPE. He worked as Special Adviser to Roy Jenkins when Home Secretary before joining Warburg Investment Management in 1976. He was the investment manager of Courtaulds Pension Fund from 1981 to 1985. At OLIM Matthew's prime responsibility is to manage the property portfolios. He is a director of Value and Income Trust plc and a life peer. More
David Scott
David Scott graduated in Modern History from Oxford University. He began his investment career at Kitcat & Aitken as an oil analyst. Subsequently David held a number of senior portfolio manager positions at Mercury Asset Management including International Investment Officer of the Charities Team. Prior to joining OLIM, from 2000-2008, he had specific responsibilities for charity clients at Singer and Friedlander Investment Management. David is a trustee of several charities giving him particular insight into the issues that face the charity sector. More
